Having re-joined the live music scene after many years of no serious playing, I realised that my 64 year old Fender Presision bass was not sounding anything like it's best. Jason at Foulds Guitars of Derby undertook the task checking out the electrics, "dressing" the fretboard and restringing. The result has been amazing! A much clearer, brighter sound. Other regular bass players at our local "LiveLounge" open mic night were unanimous in their praise for the effects of the re-furb. I can't wait for the next gig. Thanks Jason.

This is such a well stocked store. The best in Derby. The staff are all super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. There’s usually parking spaces on the street nearby. Perfect place to pick up guitar supplies.

Foulds Guitars have an enormous number of guitars in stock. The electric guitars are in the front of the store, and the acoustic guitars are in a separate room. There are plenty of places to sit to try them out. the knowledgeable friendly staff are very helpful, and there is a good selection of pedals and amps. We came to see a bass cab they had on their website, which my son bought and is very pleased with. I asked about the neck profile of an ibenez, and the staff were more than happy for me to try it. There were several people in the shop playing various guitars the staff are very accommodating it is a nice place to shop.

Bought a used bass cab from Foulds. It arrived in good time in perfect condition. It even came with a cover which I didn’t ask for. Great customer experience.

Incredibly knowledgable and friendly staff, they clearly just want to help. I went in to sell my guitar and buy a new one. Ferret told me he could take my old guitar for £300 but that it was worth much more and that I could get a much better price elsewhere. I really appreciated his honesty. Safe to say I came right back as soon as I’d sold it and he sorted me out with a beautiful new axe. Really trustworthy business. Thank you!

I recently had my beloved guitars (a '92 Japanese telecaster and a '96 USA Strat) serviced by Jason at Foulds. He replaced the frets on my tele, as well as gluing down the lacquer which was coming away. He also replaced the jack input on my Strat. Both guitars are now far better than they were. Jason and his team are fantastic, knowledgable, and highly skilled. 100% recommended
