There have been many versions of the Big Muff over the years and this is a re-issue of the circuit from the last version from the '70s which featured a completely different circuit topology but still managing to sound like a Big Muff!
A sneaky little feature is the switch to completely remove the tone control circuit which leads to a great mid-range boost.
There's a reason it's orange - a certain Pumpkin named band scored a Smash hit of an album using this pedal.
